Sponsorship
Team: Tango Alpha2, a non-profit
scenario paintball team based in Charlotte, NC, every year co-produces
a paintball scenario called "Generation
Kill" with Command
Decisions Wargames Center. 100% of the raffle of the prizes will benefit a family in need.

In previous years, the following companies have graciously donated to help our charity fund raiser, to name a few...
- Pinokio Hoppers - donated electronic, lightweight hoppers (that hold 400 ronds) and pods
- Planet Eclipse - $300 gift certificates
- Boss Company - Jorge and Twisted of Boss Company re-donated a marker (after buying it in the auction) over and over again to raise money for the family in need

- SOS Tactical - formerly Tactical Replicas for donating gear and equipment for the charity
- Command Decisions Wargames Center - donating tactical gear for the raffle
- Metheney Consulting - donating several thousand doallars worth of labor on this web site
Why:
The event raises money to support the team and in 2010 and the sales of raffle tickets creates a fund to benefit a military family who \was wounded in the line of duty. Team: Tango
Alpha2 is worked with various military benefits groups to
identify a family in need. In 2011, it went to a member of the paintball community to help pay for their wife's cancer surgery.
Background:
The scenario is loosely based on the HBO mini-series and
book by Evan Wright. The event will be played at Command
Decisions Wargames Center in Taylorsville, NC. In March
2009, the team produced the inaugural event and drew 250+
players. The 2009 game was unique in that it pitted mil-sim
style players against Big Game style players and based on the original book based in Iraq. In 2010, the
game was played in a Big Game style, situated in Afghanistan, but with three
armies (Marines, Pashtun Mafia, & the I.R.A.) simultaneously on the field as well as a fourth
faction of role players portraying Afghani citizens. In 2011, the game goes back to Big Game style but with two armies and "Back to Baghdad!" 2012 is on St. Patrick's Day and is a "Bad Day in Belfast!"
The main idea of the game is that in real war, anything and everything can happen, and there is no such thing as "fair". The true test of character is how you handle those inequities.
Marketing:
The event is being marketed with a dedicated web site (www.GenKillPaintball.com), forum
posts, posters, Twitter, Facebook and a blog and
hopes to draw 400 players in its fourth year. Previous years we have had as many as 250-350 players and teams coming from West
Virginia, Virginia, Washington, D.C., North and South
Carolina. Since we are donating a portion of the proceeds to
charity, we look to draw press and TV to the event this year
as well as traditional marketing. Action Pursuit Games
magazine is featuring the event in an article which hits
newsstands in January or February.
The team is looking to draw sponsors for the event to
help raise money for a local military family who has been
impacted inthe course of defending our rights and country. 100% of all products and
services donated to the event will be raffled off and 100%
of the profits of that raffle will go to fund. There will be three levels of sponsorship
