The Fedayeen
Welcome A'bin Bin Layd, my
brother!
Today we fight against the vile infidels of the west
protecting our homeland from their corruption and immorality
all in the name of our leader Saddam Hussein. We must
stop and hinder these pestilent camel humping invaders
anyway possible. We must deny them every bridge, every
checkpoint and every village. We must persuade our loyal
citizenry to give disinformation to them and to rise up
against them. We must deny them access to our oil, land,
virgins and most of all, our beloved capital city. To
do this, we must recruit all our brethren from every village
and rally our forces against the American devils wherever
they go. Allah Akbar!
Your brother in jihad,
Lt. Col. N'er bin Fukd
Definition: The Fedayeen are a Baathist
military unit trained in guerilla tactics established by
Saddam Hussein's son in the 1990s.They infiltrate and
terrorize the Shia (Iraqi) populace, but in the current
conflict are arrayed against the American invasion. They are
also generically referred to as insurgents.
Okay... For those of you not up to speed yet... these
are the bad guys. They have taken off their uniforms so
the Marines can't tell them apart from the citizenry. They
lay in ambush. They do not adhere to the same military
restrictions that the Marine forces do and they are just
plain mean. They will have missions of their own, but for
the most part, they are going to trying to hinder and stop
the U.S. forces every chance they get.
| "Iraq is filled with f*%king retards.
There's our retard commander who took a
wrong turn delaying the invasion an hour.
There are the hopeless retards is Supply
Support who didn't bring enough batteries
for our thermal imagers.
The retard that reigns supreme is Saddam
Hussein. We already kicked his ass once.
Then we let him go and he spends the next
twelve years pissing us off even more. We
don't want to here. What a f&%king retard."

And, in some cases, they get more points for it!
For example, if the U.S. objective is to hold a base,
and the Fedayeen forces PREVENT them from taking control of
the base, the Fedayeen get points for stopping the mission
(say they prevented the Marines from getting close by
forming a perimeter around it.) . If the Fedayeen mission
was to blow that base up or take it themselves, they get
MORE points for not only stopping the U.S. Mission, but
accomplishing their own counter mission. Devious bastards
aren't they. Nobody said war was fair. But Marines adapt and
overcome.
UPDATE: 11/26/10
Chris "Werewolf" Molles of Recon 1,
., has graciously agreed to command the Fedayeen
insurgents. Contact him at
fedayeen@genkillpaintball.com.
The Hun of Recon 1 (and Rogue Cell) are also getting
involved in the organization and coordination of the
Fedayeen (ya gotta love that Axis of Evil) and we are
overjoyed to have all these guys leading the charge into
battle for our first scenario. Allah likes his bad boys!
Chris "Werewolf" Molles - Fedayeen Commander
Hailing from a long line of New York City Italians, Chris is passionate and vocal and by no means bashful. His moniker was spawned many years ago after some very colorful and animated situations that cause my friends to remark "He gets so mad that he looks like he's changing into a werewolf." Werewolf grew up in NC and joined the US Army when he was 18.
'Wolf served in the Air Defense Artillery branch as a Stinger Infantryman up at Fort Drum, NY for several years. He then switched to the NC National Guard and work full time for them as an AH64D Longbow Apache electrician at the Raleigh airport. An avid mil-sim and big game scenario player, Chris has been the core unit commander, XO, and General for countless scenarios.
He have dabbled in airsoft, but aside from the dedication and motivation of the airsoft players when it comes to their equipment and tactics, Chris finds paintball to be much more adrenaline-filled. He founded Rogue Cell with his brother Daniel "Blindside" Molles in 2005. Leading that team until 2009 when he deployed to Iraq, stepping down as team captain and giving control of the team to the players to continue the legacy.
Upon his return in 2010, Werewolf linked up with his old friend Ted "The Hun" Pelech, joining his team Recon-1 where Chris was given control of the Recon and Special Operations Squad, commonly referred to as "The Lurps".
Werewolf will bring his military training, strategic experience and the authenticity of actually having served in Iraq to make this game one of the more exciting ever.

Fashion Tips
The Fedayeen should be more creative. In Iraq, they discarded their
uniforms to look more like Iraqi innocents to confuse the
enemy. At times, the Marines found them half naked, trying
to ditch their uniforms. (I’ve seen the shape some of you
are in, and fully clothed will be JUST fine.) This means
that while you can wear camo, head wraps; shemaghs; black or
white cotton, pajama-like outfits; blue jeans; turbins, and
dessert robes will help you blend in with the Iraqi
citizenry. Of course, this is not required. You can find
shemaghs for $8.97 at
http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/KEY308-1.html. You
can wear them around your neck or around your head. How to
wrap a shemagh:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8MbmazCMuZI You can
even make sheik-like head gear from white or black pillow
cases. Best if you don’t tell your wife that this was MY
suggestion. No one is supposed to shoot Iraqi civilians.
Anyone can shoot a tree. Which should you dress like? Hmmm.
The majority of men in the Arabian peninsula wear a long sleeved one piece dress that covers the whole body, called a "Dishdashah" or "Thoub". This garment allows the air to circulate, which helps cool the body during the hot summer days.
During summer, the Dishdashah is usually made of white cotton to reflect sunlight. In winter, the Dishdashah is made from heavier fabric such as wool and comes in darker colors.
With the Dishdashah, men also wear a 3-piece head cover. The bottom piece of this head covering is a white cap that is sometimes filled with holes. This cap, called "Thagiyah", is used to hold the hair in place. On top of the Thagiyah is a scarf-like head cover that comes in two types: a light, white head cover called "Gutrah" which is worn during summer, and a heavy red and white checked head cover called "Shumag" (shemagh or kaffiyeh) which is worn during winter.
These head covers protect the head and face from direct sunlight and can be used to cover the mouth and the nose during sand storms or cold weather.
On top of the Thagiyah and the Gutrah is the "Ogal", which is a black band surrounding the top of the head to hold everything else in place. |
