Role Players - snipers

SnipersGeneration Kill paintball scenario
Both Sides: A sniper is a player with a special role playing card (given to him by his commander) that enables him to work with a Role Playing Ref. He and this ref are connected via radios.

  • The Sniper (through his marker optics) directs the Role Playing Ref to a player anywhere on the field and calls a  Head Shot. The "hit' player then must hold up a number of fingers spread apart on one hand and if the Sniper can relay an accurate count to the ref, the player is eliminated.
  • If the sniper cannot give an accurate number, he has wasted one of his 10 shots.
  • The Role Playing Ref can switch off with other Role Playing Refs so that the players can't identify a pattern and avoid the refs.
  • A Role Playing Ref /Spotter working with a Sniper may call for a targeted player to "Freeze!" in order to get the sniper count. The Ref can and will identify himself if requested.
  • A player can play the Sniper role in the morning but a different player must play him in the afternoon. Each Sniper gets 8 shots (hits OR misses) and then has to turn his sniper card back into his Commander.
  • Commanders may have specific tasks or missions designed for snipers so don't waste all your shots early.
  • The number of Snipers a side has will be determined by the Fates of War and Sniper Cards may be awarded for accomplishing missions.
  • Snipers can be killed just like anyone else. We recommend ghillie suits and great optics.
  • Snipers can use thier markers as regular pintball guns as well. Once they have depleted their sniper shots, tehy can play as regular players, but must return their cards to tehir commanders as soon as possible.
  • Any hit to a ghillie suit whether it breaks or not is OUT!
  • Spotter Refs will track and record kills and misses.
  • Spotter Refs can ask players to show thier hand numbers more clearly (don't try to get tricky!)

Restrictions: Has only 10 shots (hit or miss) until he has to return the card to the commander. Needs to save a few shots for missions. Must be assisted by a Role Playing Ref. (Kudos to Werewolf for this concept from Red Dawn).
