Role Players - I.E.D. Specialists/Engineers
The I.R.A. will have I.E.D. (Improvised Explosive Devices) Engineers and Specialists needed to handle, gather and assemble I.E.D.'s.
- An I.E.D. Specialist can retrieve and handle components that go into making the bomb and then once the Engineer has assembled it, the Specialist can deploy the bomb with the assistance of any Role Player/Ref.
- An I.E.D. Engineer can retrieve, handle and assemble a bomb. Everything a specialist can do but also assemble. Engineers will be very limited in numbers and should be protected.
- Once the device is assembled, the Engineers or Specialists can (accompanied by a Ref/Role Player) place and use them against the Marines.
- An I.E.D. explosion kills everything in the same blast radius as a grenade (6 foot radius/ 5 paces in any direction). Explosion must be approved by a ref/role player. NOTE: Murphy;s Law and I.R.A. technology - not all devices will work as planned and may detonate early (i.e. Wiley Coyote) , late or have a reduced or increased radius.
- The Ref/Role Player will make the call ON THE SPOT - Ref calls are final and subject to Murphy's Law ONLY.
